Value of Postive Citizenship Workshop in Kano

The much awaited Module 3 Value of Positive Citizenship was concluded yesterday in Kano; Kano State Capital Northern Nigeria, the three day workshop started on the 2nd November - 4th November 2007 at the Kano British Council Conference Hall with about 30 partiicipants representing different states in Nigeria, the states represented were Nassarawa, Minna, Cross Rivers, Anambra, Kano, Kwara, Kaduna, FCT, Lagos, Enugu, and Edo. The workshop was arranged by Nigerian Professionals International Network (NIPRO) to provide a reflective introductory understanding of what citizenship is to young adults and help young people futher develop skills important to citizenship; the workshop was supported by British Council, Development Impact for Nigeria (DIFN), and A Ray of Hope, UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culutre of Peace and hosted by Akeju Olukemi (NIPRO Kano) & Team Leader (African Youth Rebirth Foundation- AYRF)
